Brief introduction of Scienca education and technology department
Guangzhou Scienca Electronics Technology Co.,Ltd. was established in July 2009. The education and technology department was established in 2016, which is a technology-based department focusing on smart laboratory construction solutions. R&D researchers account for 85% of the department’s employees. All of them have a bachelor degree or above, involving majors in electronics, communications, computers and software.
This department is committed to promoting the connotative development of college laboratories, designing and developing the software and hardware of the smart laboratory management system,which includes the sofeware and hardware of the teaching process, lab security management and lab management. Our office locates at No. 2, Qingnian Road, Huangpu District, Guangzhou.

The key members of the department have more than ten years experience in teaching or teaching management. The system is oriented by the basic needs of front-line teachers and administrators to solve the problems in experimental teaching and management, making the experimental teaching electronization, lab management informationization and lab security intelligence come truth.
Experimental teaching process management: independent attendance, automatic registration of equipment use, recording of the whole process before, during and after class.
Laboratory security management: active fire extinguishing, smoke detection and warning, CCTV.
Environment and laboratory management: laboratory appointment and automatic summary, remote device control and access control management.
1. Abandon the traditional smart laboratory concept that emphasizes management and neglects teaching. The management system goes deep into the whole process of experimental teaching, enhances the connotation of laboratory construction and achieves the aim that focusing on learning and promoting management by learning. The system has the functions such as releasing preview requirements, uploading preview materials, attendance records, Q&A records, experimental report review, real-time feedback and data storage. It covers the whole process of experimental teaching including before, during and after class. The administrators can set the way for laboratory appointment based ob the actual situation so that the laboratory is available even if there is no one on duty which improves the efficiency. It can also develop students' enthusiasm for active learning and communicate.
2. Realization of the interconnection of experimental teaching data. The management department can check the laboratory experimental data and various reports at any time including laboratory open rate, laboratory equipment utilization rate, students’ attendance rate and laboratory course delivery status. It changed the previous way that all statistics is recorded in paper and stored separately in which the management department could not obtain the statistics as a whole. It can also improve the management efficiency of experimental teaching and laboratory data as well as improve the operational guarantee mechanism of experimental teaching and laboratory management.
3. It meets the need of establishing a resource-saving smart campus. The smart laboratory management system bases on electronic technology, Internet of Things and information technology. It connects the laboratory's main switch, smoke and flame detection, CCTV and other equipment to the smart laboratory management system. It means that the main switch will be cut and the fire extinguisher will be automatically opened based on the smoke and flame detection data. The fire will be extinguished immediately. What’s more, the air condition, light and curtain can be adjusted according to the current environment independently or together so as to achieve energy saving.
4. Improve students' study motivation and convenience. Students can use several functions of this system through the WeChat applet or WEB terminal such as make laboratory appointments and check the result at any time, independent attendance check, check preview requirements and obtain materials, ask questions and get feedback, check experiment reports and comments, check historical records as well as flexibly organize teams according to the experiment situation. The functions are diversified and flexible and they have innovated the way of teaching and learning, triggered students’ enthusiasm for active learning and communicating.
